Who are you?
Hi, I'm Leo Treasure - a Perth based advocate for decentralisation, open source software and the Tezos cryptocurrency.
I've been investing in the crypto space since 2012.
Why Tezos?
Contrary to popular belief, Tezos is not such a new coin. The whitepaper for Tezos was actually released a few months before the Ethereum whitepaper.
Tezos encourages participation in on-chain governance, avoiding community splits like what happened with Bitcoin/Bitcoin cash and Ethereum/Ethereum classic. It's developed by computer science academics who ensure strong protocol and smart contract security and Tezos has a vibrant art community.
Tezos is also competing in the L2 (layer two) space with its recently launched rollup; Etherlink - check out the Etherlink bridge using an EVM compatible wallet and deploy some liquidity!
The way it's been designed, it has no central admin keys with access to bridged funds so it's extremely decentralised and secure.
It's also very fast, making front-running transactions much more difficult, leading to better trade prices for us crypto traders.
